Patti Starr is the President and owner of Ghost Chasers International, Inc., which is based in Lexington, Kentucky.  She leads an experienced, accomplished, group of investigators with a goal to prove that life goes on even after death.  Patti sets out to find and document paranormal activity in the field of ghost hunting with modest equipment such as the Dr. Gauss EMF meter, Multidetector II Profi, Cell Sensor meter, and the Raytec Mini Temp.

Her investigative research for ghosts includes electromagnetic field detection, observing electrostatic field disturbances, capturing anomalous images with infrared videography, 3-D photography, digital photography, 35 mm photography, recorded EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) with audio recording devices, monitoring the temperature with laser thermal scanners, along with other advanced techniques to collect data.  Patti substantiates these findings by catching anomalies in her photos and videos, in addition to EVPs being captured on audio recorders and videos, along with the recorded results of the devices she uses to measure temperature changes and electromagnetic field disturbances.

What We Did - Samples We Brought Back

I was doing an investigation at the ******'s house in Bardstown, KY. I had finished dowsing inside the house and while my other members were finishing up inside I decided to go outside with the newspaper reporter to show her how I dowsed for spirits and to see if I could pick up anything outside.

I started out by following the dowsing rods where they led me before they would cross to let me know that I had come to the hotspot or where the spirit was. As they crossed I told the reporter that the current that was running through my hands were incredible so she decided to take a picture. She pointed her digital camera towards me and attempted to snap a picture but the LCD on the camera shut off. Fiddling with a few buttons, she finally got the camera back on again. The battery indicator showed the camera was fully charged. Again she tries to snap a picture and again the camera turns off. When she looked she saw the battery that was fully charged was suddenly dead. Being a good reporter and ready for anything to happen she had brought along a second camera. As she lifted that one to snap off a picture or two the camera refused to focus.

She told me to hang on and she would run inside to get another camera. I decided to drop the rods and let one of my team members try the rods to see if they would be led to the same place and get the same reaction that I had gotten. I went inside the house and brought out one of my team members and showed her what to do. She was a little hesitant since this was her first time to dowse. Sure enough the rods led her to the same spot without Melody's knowledge of where they had led me. When they started to cross the vibrations were so strong that she thought they were going to jump out of her hands. The reporter came out the door just as they crossed on Melody and I shouted for her to take the picture now before her cameras would be effected and she snapped off a shot and got this fantastic photo of two balls of fire over and under the rods. The reporter had several other photographers to check this photo and they could give any reasons why this had happen.

This photo made front page news the next day!....(The Kentucky Standard).
